The TGISC International
Advisory Council is growing.

The THOMSEN GROUP is experiencing unprecedented international growth, and the group, based in Hamburg, Germany, plans on expanding its Advisory Board to support increasing demands. The idea is for individual Board members to represent regions around the globe and to actively support further expansion.

"Graying old men around a negotiating table aren't going to help us move forward", says Simone Thomsen, Chief Visionary Officer at the consultancy firm which specializes in strategic consulting.

The Board has been headed up for several years now by Volker Roese, a cosmopolitan manager with a German-Turkish heritage. His future role will be as the representative of the Euro-Asian axis.

Josef Brandhuber and Carl-Stephan Orth are both new members of the Advisory Council:

Josef Brandhuber is already known in the investment sector as "Mr. Down-Under". As the CEO of the Munich real estate firm Real I.S., he ushered the company, which is part of the Sparkasse financial syndicate, to its current height of success: Real I.S. is an innovative investment company carrying out sustainable operations as a part of Europe's largest credit institutions group. As the market leader in overseas real estate funds, Real I.S. has invested over 1 billion AUD (approx. 700 million USD) in Australia. For 22 years, Joseph Brandhuber was the innovative and strategic force behind the company's success. Overseas investment has always been his passion. He holds ("only") two passports (Bavaria doesn't issue one) and identifies with several world cultures. In addition to having a German passport, he also "lives" the Australian one.
This makes Josef Brandhuber the THOMSON GROUP representative for the land "down under".

Carl-Stephan Orth grew up in Sweden and has lived in Zurich and Stockholm. He represents several global regions, having amassed years of know-how and expertise as a manager at Computer Associates and as a consultant at companies including Renoir and Hitachi Consulting. He can speak German, English, French and Swedish fluently and is the THOMSEN GROUP representative for India, North and South America and, of course, Scandinavia.

"We still have two gaps to fill though", admits Simone Thomsen, economist and outspoken opponent of female quotas in the workplace: "For one, we want to identify more individuals, who can represent countries and continents in which THOMSEN GROUP is particularly active and sought after (Although, we don't want to make any hasty decisions). And in addition, I would definitely not be opposed to more lipstick at the discussion table...!"
